Fight Cancer Like a Ninja Warrior 2024 Dedication

Students at Kaposia Education Center are fighting cancer like a ninja warrior. About two years ago, students decided to raise money for more and new ninja warrior equipment in the gymnasium in honor of their friend who passed away from cancer (read the story here). Since then, students have raised more than $40,000 to put towards equipment they would like for their ninja course. This new equipment is used to host ninja and gymnastics after school camps to raise money for community members in our school district who have had their lives impacted by cancer.

This year, the students chose SSPPS mother of three, Angela DeMarais, who recently underwent treatment for breast cancer. Through the after school camps, the Ninja Warrior Leadership Team raised $810 to help the DeMarais family with medical bills and other expenses. In a ceremony at the school on May 15, family, friends, and students gathered to present Angela with a check.
